Marla Durden is an artist, highly intuitive empath and medicine woman. She is the founder of Modern Root Woman, and producer and host of a monthly call for Women of Wisdom Foundation, Watering Wholeness.


Certified in many wisdom practices including InterPlay, shamanic healing and ceremonial facilitation, she leads online and in-person retreats, a weekly Dance Chapel for the Hidden Monastery, including a Hip Hop Dance Chapel, and offers individual sessions to deepen conscious co-creation and healing through sacred embodiment, the power of play, connection to Subtle Realm allies, and contemplative practices.


She is author of the highly-praised, Magical You Playbook and Embodied Self-Care Journal, published in 2023. Marla is a diverse creative professional who also excels as a Graphic Designer and Creative Director. She designs healing brands, experiences, and books for spiritual and creative authors.
